Huge day for Daniel

by GT Management in Daniel Stahl, Discus Throw 0 comments tags: 66m club, National Record, Personal Best, Season Best, World Lead
His indoor PB was 61.09m but we knew he would break that easy today as Daniel Ståhl threw very, very far on our training camp in Fuerteventura two weeks ago. Still it was very unstable today at Nordenkampen meet and the technique was rough and inconsistent. But it ended up being 66.90m and the second farthest ever in history after Gerd Kanter’s world best indoor since 2009 of 69.51m. This result is very good for Daniel but there is much more coming sooner or later, the capacity is huge and with more stability and control everything is possible. In the shot put was Daniel Mr. stability and threw six legal throws and three new indoor PB´s. His previous since last weekend was 19.10m but this time he had 19.26m, 19.32m and 19.60m. Daniel got second in the meet with that performance. Outstanding day for Daniel here in Tampere in Finland. Written by Coach  Vésteinn Hafsteinsson

Daniel Stahl throws a World Leading 68.72m

by GT Management in Daniel Stahl, Discus Throw 0 comments tags: 68m club, Personal Best, Season Best, World Lead
The Swedish Championships was held this weekend at the Sollentuna Arena in Stockholm. The highlight of the meet was the world leading throw of Daniel Ståhl 68.72m. On day one Daniel also won the shot with a new PB o 19.38m. On day two we were pretty excited for the discus as all the guys had been throwing well in practice and Daniel threw a huge training PB over 70m during the week. Daniel started out with a sector foul on 67m and when I saw that I knew this will be his day. With a meet record in the second throw of 65.09m beating the legendary Ricky Bruch’s 44 year old meet record and throwing his farthest ever throw in Sweden it looked good. He barely fouled the third throw that was on the 65m line. Next throw measured 63.83m and then he had a good throw after that that just touched the net. The last throw was the big one as many times before this season, nice to beat Gerd Kanter’s stadium record also. Wow, it was outstanding and the crowd screamed and Daniel ran out of the circle and celebrated. It was a great moment and total […]

by GT Management in Daniel Stahl, Discus Throw, Mesud Pezer, Shot Put, Tim Nedow 0 comments tags: 20m club, Olympic Games, Personal Best, Rio 2016, Season Best
Mesud Pezer the 22 year old from Bosnia Herzegovina qualified for the EC and OG today at the Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine, California. Mesud got second in the meet behind Tim Nedow, Canada that won the meet with an outdoor seasonal best of 20.88m. This performance by Mesud is amazing as he improved his outdoor PB last week to 20.00m from 19.99m last summer. Mesud improved his indoor PB many times this winter and ended up with 20.22m that was almost a meter farther than last winter. Today Mesud had for throws over 20m, 20.11, 20.58, 20.50 and 20.09. Mesud has been working extremely hard for this and is worth the ticket to Rio many times and we are all very happy for him. Tim looked very strong today and had many throws landing around the same distance, then went hard in the last one and fouled a throw around 70 feet, ca 21.32m or so. It is going great for him and we just keep on, remember that his outdoor PB is close, 20.98m. His indoor PB since this winter is 21.33m. Daniel Ståhl, Sweden was in a league on his own at his favorite place here in Irvine. […]

by GT Management in Mesud Pezer, Shot Put, Tim Nedow 0 comments tags: 20m club, 21m club, IAAF Indoor Tour, Personal Best
Tim Nedow went to the IAAF Indoor Tour meet in Stockholm on Wednesday knowing that if he would win the meet he would win the whole IAAF Indoor Tour as he also won in Karlsruhe two weeks ago when he had 20.89m that was enough to win. In Stockholm, Tim had the meet of his life. In the second round he put the shot 20.88m to take a comfortable lead in the competition. In the fourth round I threw a new PB 21.10m where he executed the throw easily in to an effortless throw. In the last one he went for it big time and threw a huge PB of 21.33m. This was a great win for Tim and definitely the highlight of his career so far. In five meets so far the results are outstanding 20.98m, 21.00m, 20.89m, 20.56m and 21.33m. The average is 20.95m that is world class. Tim broke the meet record and is seated third on the 2016 indoor IAAF world list in the event. Mesud Pezer broke the big 20m barrier twice in the meet in his first and third throw and his new indoor PB is now 20.01m and also his lifetime best as his […]
