Great results from Finnish Championships

Finnish Championships were held last weekend in Pori – many GT Management athletes were competing there and winning medals. Sanna Kämäräinen won womens shot put and discus throw – new PB in the shot final 15.70m and a decent discus result of 57.87m. Arttu Kangas won men shot put 19.73m (just 6cm less from his outdoor PB), Sami Peltomäki achieved 8th position with 71.91m (he had 79.55m SB in the qualification) and Oona Sormunen took the title with 58.11m. Congratulations!

Tim throws a seasonal best 20.78m in Stockholm

Many Global Throwing Management athletes were comepting in Stockholm last week. On 29th July, BIG SHOT meet was held in the center of Stockholm – Tim Nedow won the meet with a new seasonal best of 20.78m. Mesud Pezer was second with 19.68m and Kristo Galeta third 19.03m. Daniel Stahl participated Diamond League and got 5th position with 63.03m.

Tim Nedow wins silver at Pan American Games

Tim Nedow came in to the Pan American Games with the 6th best seasonal best of the 12 competitors that competed in Toronto and ended up second in the competition with a throw of 20.53m. Congratulations to Tim and his coach Vesteinn! Tim got a bronze in the Commonwealth Games last year and now in the Pan American Games he got silver, his season best 2015 is 20.76m. Daniel Stahl 63.38m Seasonal Best

Daniel Stahl competed yesterday at Swedish Club Championships and he won the meet with a new season best of 63.38m. This result gives him 30th position at the world season list. Good job Daniel!

Tim Nedow amazing 20.76m in Sollentuna

GT Management athletes were competing yesterday in Sollentuna Sweden. The highlight of the evening was Tim Nedow win in shot put with a new seasonal best of 20.76m. That gives Tim 16th position at the world season list. Our athlete Mesud Pezer was second with 19.48m, Kristo Galeta third 18.79m, Daniel Stahl fourth 18.70m and Niklas Arrhenius fifth with 18.25m. Daniel Stahl won the men discus competition with a new season best 62.93m and that gives him 38th position at the world season list.

Tim Nedow 6th at Diamond League Rome

Another Diamond League meet was held today in Rome and Global Throwing Management athlete Tim Nedow achieved 20.15m and 6th position. David Storl won the meet with a good throw of 21.46m, Jordan Clarke 21.28m and Tomas Štanek third with 20.64m. Full results from here. Tim Nedow next competition is at Josef Odlozil Memorial in Prague on June 8th.

Arttu Kangas 19.52m in Riga

Global Throwing athletes were competing last week in Riga at Rigas Kausi meet. The highlight for us was Arttu Kangas from Finland, who threw 19.52m and got 4th position- This result gives Arttu 3rd position at the European U23 season list. Other results by our athletes – Trine Mulbjerg from Denmark got 4th position at women shot put competition 16.29m, Oona Sormunen 56.73m in women javelin and Kristo Galeta had an off day unfortunately in men shot put. Mark Dry new Scottish Record 76.93m in Loughborough

Global Throwing Management hammer thrower Mark Dry improved today his personal and Scottish record to 76.93m. His previous record was 74.82m – so quite impressive! With this throw, Mark achieved World Championships standard and the result gives him 9th position at current world season list. Congratulations to Mark!

Tim Nedow opens up with 20.51m at Kansas Relays

Tim Nedow competed today in the Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kansas and was this his first outdoor meet this year. Tim threw the shot 20.51m that is a great opener and only 3cm away from his best meet indoors this year. Tim has an outdoor PB of 20.98m since last summer. He will do four early meets in USA now during our training camp here at Chula Vista, before travelling back to Europe for the summer season. Portuguese Shot Putter Marco Fortes joined GT Management!

Global Throwing Management is an exclusive management who takes care of throwers only. The word has spread fast in the throwing community and we could not be happier, that we have world-class athletes joining our team. Last week, Marco Fortes from Portugal joined our team – Marco has an amazing personal best of 21.02m from season 2012, also 21.01m from last season. Marco is 2 times participant at Olympic Games and 3 times at World Championships, achieving 5th position in Daegu 2011. 21.01m gave him 15th position at the world season list in 2014. We are working on full-power, to help Marco achieve his goals during this summer season.
