by GT Management in Mesud Pezer, Shot Put, Tim Nedow 0 comments tags: 20m club, 21m club, IAAF Indoor Tour, Personal Best
Tim Nedow went to the IAAF Indoor Tour meet in Stockholm on Wednesday knowing that if he would win the meet he would win the whole IAAF Indoor Tour as he also won in Karlsruhe two weeks ago when he had 20.89m that was enough to win. In Stockholm, Tim had the meet of his life. In the second round he put the shot 20.88m to take a comfortable lead in the competition. In the fourth round I threw a new PB 21.10m where he executed the throw easily in to an effortless throw. In the last one he went for it big time and threw a huge PB of 21.33m. This was a great win for Tim and definitely the highlight of his career so far. In five meets so far the results are outstanding 20.98m, 21.00m, 20.89m, 20.56m and 21.33m. The average is 20.95m that is world class. Tim broke the meet record and is seated third on the 2016 indoor IAAF world list in the event. Mesud Pezer broke the big 20m barrier twice in the meet in his first and third throw and his new indoor PB is now 20.01m and also his lifetime best as his […]

Daniel is the fourth Swede to make it into the top-10 list in Discus at this ranking! And the first one for 40 years! Rickard Bruch 8th 1968, 2nd 1969, 2nd 1970, 3rd 1971, 2nd 1972, 1st 1973, 3rd 1974, 2nd 1975 (eight straight years at the ranking!). IAAF end of year preview – THROWS

by GT Management in Daniel Stahl, Discus Throw, Fedrick Dacres 0 comments
IAAF made a review of the throwing events on their website and GT Management is excited to find our own athletes from that press release. Our discus throwers Daniel Stahl and Fedrick Dacres are named as a new generation athletes in that event. Read the news from IAAF website. Read more about Daniel Stahl and Fedrick Dacres from our website. Men’s discus This event has been almost synonymous with the name Robert Harting for quite some years but a serious knee injury kept him sidelined for the whole of 2015. In Harting’s absence, Piotr Malachowski – who for years had been Harting’s main challenger – took over as the number one discus thrower, winning his first ever global title at 32, following three previous silvers. That championships are something special is also clearly illustrated by a comparison of the world list coming into Beijing with the actual outcome in the Bird’s Nest stadium. World leader Malachowski lived up to expectations in Beijing but the second, fourth and fifth-ranked athletes on the world list didn’t even qualify for the final. There was also a group of global championship debutants, born between 1991 and 1994, who proved to be much better than […]

Yesterday we got exciting news, as Swedish Olympic Committee announced four athletes who will go to Rio Olympics next year in Rio. Four track and field athletes were nominated and Daniel was the only male athlete in the first round. This makes all our work easier to prepare as well as possible, so great news for Daniel. Daniel Stahl and his coach Vésteinn Hafsteinsson are in Fuerteventura in Spain on a training camp at the moment. There are 230 athletes and coaches on an Olympic Camp that is organized by the Swedish Olympic Committee. Good job Daniel. Congratulations on making your first olympics! Other three track and field athletes who were nominated: Abeba Aregawi (1500m), Angelica Bengtsson (pole vault) and Khadijatou Sagnia (long jump). Video of Daniel throwing in Playitas. Daniel Stahl 5th World Championships Beijing 2015

by GT Management in Daniel Stahl, Discus Throw 0 comments tags: 64m club, Season Best, World Championships
Daniel Ståhl did absolutely great in the final of the discus throw here at the WC in Beijing. He ended up in 5th place with a seasonal best throw of 64.73m and was only 45 cm away from the bronze medal. This is huge for Daniel and we are so proud of him. The competition ended up being really exciting and fun to watch. Daniel started out well with 61.57m in the first throw and we knew then already that it would not be enough for making it through to top eight for getting three more throws. After a little worse throw in the second round he had to throw close to 64m in the third throw and he did and hit a SB of 64.42m. He then followed up with another SB of 64.73m in the fourth to foul the last two. Daniel equaled the best throwing performance ever by a Swede in WC. The legendary javelin thrower Dag Wennlund was also 5th in the WC back in 1995 in Göteborg. Sweden has never got a medal in WC in any throwing event. The best discus thrower for Sweden in the WC before yesterday was Stefan Fernholm 12th place. […]

4 athletes at World Championships from our management

by GT Management in Daniel Stahl, Discus Throw, Hammer Throw, Hans Üürike, Mark Dry, Sanna Kämäräinen, Shot Put, Tim Nedow 0 comments tags: Beijing 2015, World Championships
Four athletes from our Global Throwing Management group will participate in the WC in Bejing coming up in ten days. Tim Nedow CAN will compete in the shot put and has so far had a very steady season with many meets over the qualification standard of 20.45m. His SB is 20.78m and PB is 20.98m. Today we got good news as Daniel Ståhl SWE will also compete in the discus and he got in on a wild card last minute due to the rule that IAAF invites top 32 to participate as not all had reached the qualification standard of 65m. Daniel has thrown 63.38m this season but has a PB of 66.89m since last year. Sanna Kämäräinen FIN threw 61.07 already in the early season in March. During summer, she has been travelling around Europe and competing on a high-level. Mark Dry GBR improved his PB to massive 76.93m and holding on to 20th position at the world season list. We are really happy to see our athletes competing in Beijing and wish you all long throw. Enjoy the meet and have fun! Hans Üürike GT Management
