Arttu Kangas 20.09m at Finnish Championships

Young and talented shot putter from Finland, Arttu Kangas won today Finnish Indoor Championships with a new personal best 20.09m. This is first time for Arttu to go over 20m and beating his old record 19.74 by 35cm. This result places Arttu at 26th position at world season list! GT Management athlete Sanna Kämäräinen (discus throw), won Finnish Championships in shot with a season best of 15.25m. Good job and congratulations to Arttu and his coach!

Arttu Kangas qualified to European Indoors in Prague

Finnish shot putter Arttu Kangas competed this weekend at Nordenkampen, in Bærum in Norway. Arttu won the meet with new seasonal best of 19.52m and qualified to European Indoor Championships held in Prague. Arttu will now compete on next to weekends at Finnish Championships (senior and U23) before going to Europeans. Congratulations to Arttu and his coach.

Bob Bertemes impressive 20.29m NR in Vienna

Our young shot putter upcoming start Bob Bertemes from Luxembourg have had an amazing season so far. He has improved his personal record and national record already 5 times this winter. On Saturday, Bob competed in Vienna (meet homepage) and had a superb meet, where he achieved 1st position with 20.29m. This result is 27cm more than his previous record achieved a week ago and gives him 16th position at the current world season list. Bob series in Vienna – 19.49m, 19.55m, 20.29m, 19.99m, x, 20.02m. Second was Jan Marcell with also a Personal Best of 20.25m. Congratulations to Bob and his coach. We are really happy for you!

Bob Bertemes 20.02m at Vectis meet – welcome to the 20m club Bob!

GT Management athlete Bob Bertemes competed today in Luxembourg at Vectis Indoor meet and won with 20.02m. It is 32cm more than his previous NR thrown last week in Stockholm (19.70m video). Bob started today with 19.22m, 19.38m, x and then 19.78 new NR in the fourth round. He had a foul in the 5th and then came an amazing 6th round and 20.02m – new Luxembourg National Record and a new man at the 20m shot putters club. Meet home page and official results from here. Tim Nedow 20.54m in Gothenburg

GT Management shot putter Tim Nedow competed today in Gothenburg at RödBlå Vinter (meet homepage) and won the meet with a new indoor personal best 20.54m. His previous indoor PB was from season 2012 and 20.51m. Tim´s result 20.54m gives him 6th position at the current world season list. Next week, Tim will compete in Tartu, Estonia at Martin Kutman Memorial (meet homepage). Official results from here

Bob Bertemes new National Record 19.70m in Stockholm

Global Throwing Management young shot putter Bob Bertemes competed today in Stockholm at Raka Spåret and won the meet with an outstanding new National Record for Luxembourg – 19.70m. His previous PB was throws last week 19.47m. 19.70m gives Bob 21st position at the current world season list. Congratulations to Bob! Second at the meet was also GT Management athlete Arttu Kangas, who improved his season best to 19.35m today and third was Mesud Pezer with 19.19m (just 18cm from his PB). Full results from here. All 3 throwers are born 1993 or later and will compete this summer in Tallinn at U23 European Championships.

Tim Nedow 19.98m season opener in Dusseldorf

EAA PSD Bank meeting was held today in Dusseldorf Germany and Tim Nedow opened his season with 19.98m and 4th position. This result gives him 11th position at current world indoor season list. Tim had a decent series 19.28, 19.81, 19.95, 19.72, x, 19.98. Ryan Whiting from USA won the meet with a new world lead 20.83m, Christian Cantwell second 20.53m and Asmir Kolasinac third with 20.06m. Tim Nedow will start his indoor season in Dusseldorf and Toruń

Canadian Shot Putter Tim Nedow will start his indoor season at EAA meet in Dusseldorf, Germany 29 January. The start list for the meet is really high-level and hopefully it will produce some great results. Current world lead is 20.78m by Tomáš Staněk. GT Management shot putters on fire in the beginning of the indoor season 2015

2 young Global Throwing Management shot putters have opened their indoor season 2015. Bob Bertemes from Luxembourg improved his national record by 2cm (previous record set in December 2014) to 19.47m in a meet held in Kirchberg on January 24th. Bob has already improved his record by 36cm during season 2015. Another thrower, Arttu Kangas from Finland opened season in Nastola few days ago with 19.31m. It is just 25cm from his indoor best from last season. 4 Global Throwing Management shot putters will compete in Stockholm on 31st of January at Raka Spåret 2015: 1. Arttu Kangas PB 19.74m 2. Bob Bertemes PB 19.47m 3. Mesud Pezer PB 19.37m 4. Daniel Stahl PB 19.17m Bob, Arttu and Mesud are all medal candidates for U23 European Championships held in Tallinn this summer (currently ranked no 1, no 3 and no 4).
